The EL Gazette has published the most up-to-date 2019 ranking list of British Council accredited English language schools, which was established by the EL Gazette. The British Council is a world-leading organisation for English language teaching and learning. The council works in over 100 countries across the globe, promoting British values and culture to more than 50 million people around the world. They have strong relations with industry experts, governments, universities and schools around the world, who they consult regarding education provision.
They are one of the largest providers of English language services globally, offering courses onsite or online at accredited centres worldwide. They also run educational programmes for teachers everywhere from China to Egypt to Thailand! There are approximately 2000 ELT organisations worldwide which are members of their association – meaning it’s important that they maintain high quality standards within this sector.
Their inspections ensure that UK government requirements are met by centres looking to achieve or maintain accredited status, and that students are receiving the highest quality education available. Accreditation with them is a big deal!
The British Council have developed an educational framework, which all of their accredited language centres must meet in order to be granted accreditation status by the organisation.
