The lead single promoting the album is a reworked version of the song “Sex”, which saw its initial release on August 26th, 2013.

    Prior to this official unveiling though, the song premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show all the way back on July 8th.

    Finally, to top it all off ,a music video for “Sex” was uploaded to YouTube just three short weeks later on July 26th and much like the success of the album itself, the video quickly racked up millions upon millions of views in a remarkably short amount time.     The 1975 is an English indie rock band from Manchester, composed of Matthew Healy (vocals, guitar), Adam Hannah (guitar), George Daniel (drums, backing vocals), and Ross MacDonald (bass guitar).

    The band released four EPs before their debut album in 2013. The album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.

    On September 8, 2013, the band went on their first international tour and played at the 2014 Coachella Festival. In February 2016, they released I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It an album that NME magazine later called the best album of 2016 (and is #1 on their list of 50 Best Albums).
