Inclusive cultural, social and sporting activities

On every Tuesday afternoon, there is a cultural activity such as a guest speaker’s talk or a guided cultural visit. A pub evening, quiz, or party at school takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are also numerous sports activities offered throughout the year, including Zumba, football, ice-skating.

These activities are part of your course fee and are open to all students. When the social event is not held at the Lake School, you must pay for your drinks.

Before you arrive, you may look through our planned social activities and excursions. On your first day, we’ll provide you with a schedule of social activities as well as excursions. The Social Organiser in School can register you for the events and make reservations for the tours.

The school runs programs for adults. Parents of children aged 16 or 17 should be aware that students are escorted during weekly social and cultural activities as well as weekend excursions. Otherwise, outside of class, children’s free time is unsupervised. In and around Oxford, the School provides recommendations for appropriate free time pursuits for teenagers aged 16 and 17.
